The foundation stone of the college was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Sj. Naveen Patnaik on 02 Nov 2016. This Medical college & Hospital was built with an aim to improve the doctor population ratio by utilizing the District Head Quarter Hospital, Keonjhar as the teaching hospital. The College campus spreads over a sprawling area of 44.40 Acres . The present teaching hospital ( DHH, Keonjhar ) is situated in the main town of Keonjhar around 5 Kms away from the College campus. Dharanidhar Medical College & Hospital Keonjhar has its own building of teaching hospital adjacent to the medical college.
